Our Commitment

Our Unique Value Propositions

Risk Assessment Services

Construction and infrastructure companies can use risk assessment services to evaluate vulnerabilities to climate-related hazards and ensure project resilience.

Assessing vulnerabilities to changing weather patterns, water availability, and extreme events can help agricultural businesses develop strategies for climate risk adaptation. SMEs in manufacturing, services, and retail can benefit from such assessments to understand the impacts of climate change on their operations.

Capacity building Initiatives

The Centre can offer training on business continuity planning, disaster risk reduction, and accessing financial resources for adaptation.

By enhancing the adaptive capacity of the agricultural sector, the Centre can contribute to food security and sustainable livelihoods amidst climate change.

•The Centre can partner with industry associations in Pakistan to deliver capacity-building programs tailored to the specific needs of their members. This can involve working with associations such as the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) or the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) to develop training modules and facilitate knowledge sharing among businesses. By offering these capacity-building opportunities, the Centre can help businesses in Pakistan enhance their adaptive capacity, reduce non-traditional security related risks, and contribute to the overall resilience of the country’s economy.

Policy Development and Integration

·The Centre can offer policy advisory services to businesses which includes analyzing the National Climate Change Policy (NCCP), National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy (NDRRP), and other relevant policies to identify opportunities for businesses to align their strategies with national resilience goals. For example, the Centre can advise textile manufacturers on how to incorporate water conservation measures into their operations to comply with the NCCP’s objectives related to water security.

·The Centre can facilitate public-private partnerships (PPPs) between businesses and government agencies to jointly develop and implement climate resilience projects.

·the Centre can partner with industry associations like the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) to deliver training workshops on disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation for SMEs.
